Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented IT Systems and Database Administrator to join our dynamic IT team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the stability, security, and performance of our enterprise systems and databases. The successful candidate will be responsible for executing day-to-day IT operations and driving system automation under the direction of the IT Manager.

This role is split between leading infrastructure modernization, containerized environment deployments, and workflow automation (70%), alongside supporting core enterprise systems, local network infrastructure, Active Directory administration, and end-user technical support (30%). Additional responsibilities include managing basic SQL databases, maintaining code repositories on GitHub, hardware configuration, and developing technical documentation

Responsibilities

Responsibilities shall include but not be limited to:

- Deploy, maintain, and troubleshoot Linux environments (Ubuntu or major distributions) to ensure system reliability and uptime.
- Manage application containerization using Docker, hosting local instances, and overseeing version control and repositories via GitHub.
- Develop and maintain Python scripts to automate routine system administration workflows and operational tasks.
- Manage database operations, including writing basic-to-intermediate SQL queries, supporting data maintenance, and troubleshooting connectivity or query issues.
- Support enterprise directory and network services,



including Active Directory, Domain Services, DNS, and DHCP configuration.
- Maintain virtualized and physical server environments, supporting systems hosted on VMware and Proxmox VE, as well as Windows Server 2025.
- Provide comprehensive desktop and end-user support across Windows 10/11, MS Office/M365 applications, and VoIP phone systems.
- Perform physical setup and hardware maintenance, including rack assembly, network cabling, workstation deployments, and lifting IT equipment up to 15 lbs as required.
- Support data visualization and business reporting using tools such as SSRS, Power BI, Superset, or Tableau as needed.
- Implement basic workflow automation utilizing tools like Microsoft Power Automate to optimize business processes.
- Assist in resolving end-user issues and workflows related to manufacturing ERP applications.
- Document system configurations, operational procedures, and automation scripts to support ongoing IT knowledge management.

Requirements

- 3+ years experience as a Desktop Support analyst troubleshooting and resolving hardware/ software issues. Hands-on experience in Linux preferably Ubuntu
- Hands-on experience in developing applications with Python.
- Experience in developing and maintaining dashboards with Apache Superset.
- Hands-on experience in managing SQL database, writing SQL queries, troubleshooting database issues, and creating reports from SQL reporting services
- Hands-on experience with VMware




- Experience in Shopify with a focus on managing company’s e-commerce websites to ensure they are up to date and functioning optimally without any error
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Power Automate will be an asset
- Familiarity or involvement in supporting ERP applications, preferably manufacturing-based
- Experience in supporting end users in a Win 10, Win 11 and MS Office 2019 environment
- Experience in Microsoft Office 365 products
- Experience in supporting VoIP-based phone systems
- Experience with business analysis.
- Physically able to lift up to 15 pounds, move IT equipment, access cables behind desk

Education, Knowledge, Attributes

- Degree or Diploma in IT or equivalent would be an advantage
- Active industry certifications are assets
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Self starter, works with minimal supervision
- Communicates clearly and concisely in both technical and user-friendly language
- High degree of professionalism, courtesy, and responsiveness
- Able to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
- Proven integrity and accountability
- Must be customer-service oriented.

Pay: $55,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
