Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Java Developer to join our team for a fully remote opportunity in Canada. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, Microservices, and SQL and should be comfortable working in an Agile development environment.

Key Responsibilities

- Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable Java applications.

- Develop backend services and RESTful APIs using Java and Spring Boot.

- Build and maintain Microservices and distributed applications.

- Work with databases such as Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, or SQL Server.

- Write clean, efficient, reusable, and maintainable code.

- Participate in code reviews, debugging, testing, and production support.

- Collaborate with product managers, business analysts, QA engineers, and other developers.

- Troubleshoot application issues and perform root-cause analysis.

- Develop unit and integration tests and ensure application quality.

- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and sprint planning.

- Work with CI/CD pipelines and modern DevOps practices.

- Contribute to technical documentation and development best practices.





Required Skills
- 5+ years of professional Java development experience.

- Strong hands-on experience with Java 8/11/17+.

- Strong experience with Spring Boot and Spring Framework.

- Experience developing RESTful APIs.

- Strong understanding of Microservices architecture.

- Good knowledge of SQL and relational databases.

- Experience with JPA/Hibernate.

- Knowledge of Git/GitHub/GitLab/Bitbucket.

- Experience with JUnit/Mockito or similar testing frameworks.

- Good understanding of Object-Oriented Programming and Design Patterns.

- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

- Solid problem-solving and communication skills.

Good to Have
- Experience with React, Angular, or Vue.js.

- Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.

- Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes.

- Experience with Kafka or other messaging platforms.

- Experience with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.

- Knowledge of Redis, Elasticsearch, or NoSQL databases.

- Experience with enterprise-level applications.

Education Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
