We're a growing drywall and steel stud framing company in the Lower Mainland. We have a solid lineup of commercial and retail interior projects coming up and we're adding experienced people to the crew.
About the Role :
We're hiring experienced installers for acoustical wall panels and acoustical ceiling panels. A lot of our upcoming work involves feature walls and ceilings in finished commercial spaces, so we need people who can install these cleanly and get the lines and reveals right. You'll also be doing steel stud framing, bulkheads, soffits and T-bar ceilings as part of the job.
What You'll Be Doing
- Installing acoustical wall panels (fabric-wrapped, felt/PET, wood slat, perforated and linear systems)
- Installing acoustical ceiling panels, clouds, baffles and specialty ceiling systems
- Setting out panel layout from drawings and RCPs, including reveals, joints and alignment
- Framing steel stud walls, bulkheads and soffits, including backing and blocking for panels
- Installing T-bar and suspended ceiling systems
- Working with the foreman and other trades to keep the job moving.
What We're Looking For:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the trade
- Hands-on experience installing acoustical wall and/or ceiling panels
- Solid steel stud framing and T-bar experience on commercial jobs
- Able to read drawings and do accurate layout
- Careful with finished work and attentive to detail
- Own tools and reliable transportation to sites around Metro Vancouver
- Fall protection and other safety tickets are an asset
Given Priority:
- Experience with both wall panel and ceiling panel systems
- Foremen or lead hands who have run specialty panel or ceiling jobs
What We Offer: Pay based on experience, in line with the current market rate - Full time, steady work on good commercial projects - Room to move up as the company grows.
