Junior Project Administrator
Pay: CA$22 - $25 per hour

Axis Mountain is looking for a Junior Project Administrator. This role provides foundational administrative and coordination support to project and office teams. The purpose is to build core skills in scheduling, record-keeping, documentation, and project tracking while ensuring day-to-day tasks are completed reliably and on time.
The Junior Project
Administrator supports smooth workflows and learns organizational systems, laying the groundwork for greater independence. A key aim is to develop confidence and accuracy in routine responsibilities while beginning to understand how administrative work connects to broader project goals.
Location: Kitimat, BCJob Type: Preferred Full-Time, Monday - Friday, On-Site Part time or date flexibility considered for the right candidate.Hiring Timeline: Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis. Shortlisted candidates will be contacted by mid to late October.

Position Overview
We’re looking for a Junior Project Administrator who is early in their career, curious about the field, and excited to grow their skills in real-world environments. This full-time, Kitimat BC onsite based role supports the day-to-day administrative tasks in support of our in office teams. This is an entry-level position suited to someone who is organised, reliable, detail-oriented, eager to learn, a thoughtful communicator who can work independently while contributing to the wider team.
In this role, you’ll learn directly from a Senior team member while taking on responsibilities that build your administration skills, project awareness, and confidence. This is a great role for someone who wants to develop a strong foundation in operational administration and be part of a team that values shared learning, accountability, and continuous improvement.
You will be reporting directly to the Site Superintendent.
Responsibilities:
Administrative Coordination (40%)
- Carry out routine administrative tasks such as scheduling, filing, and maintaining records under supervision.
- Support calendar and meeting coordination by preparing invites, taking notes, and tracking follow-ups.
- Draft basic correspondence and assist in compiling reports, with feedback and edits from senior staff.
- Assist with onboarding logistics (e.g., preparing welcome materials, collecting documentation).
- Maintain accurate filing of confidential records, contracts, and databases following organizational procedures.
- Help coordinate travel, accommodation, and logistics as directed.
- Enter data into project financial tracking systems (e.g., cost codes, schedules, daily logs).
Project Coordination Support (50%)
- Update project tracking logs and databases with direction from senior staff.
- Assist in compiling daily reports, safety documentation, and progress updates.
- Collect purchase order and invoice data for subcontractors, suppliers, and rentals.
- Support project-related meetings by taking minutes and tracking action items.
- Act as an administrative link between site and office teams, escalating issues to supervisors when needed.
Team Support & Development (10%)
- Seek guidance and feedback from senior staff while building independence in tasks.
- Contribute ideas for improving basic administrative processes.
- Demonstrate professionalism and teamwork in interactions with peers.
Knowledge & Experience
- High School, Diploma or Certification in related field
- 0-1 year of general work experience
Skills / Competencies
- Possesses a basic understanding of general aspects of the job.
- All actions are routine and clearly defined; problems are rarely encountered.
- Works under close direction of senior personnel in the functional area.
- Communicates to the manager in a timely and efficient manner regarding pre-defined, routine tasks, learning to use internal communication tools.
- Demonstrated Growing Initiative
- Actively participates in tasks, showing a budding sense of initiative, and begins to understand the broader team objectives.
