Junior Software Developer – Industrial Data & Automation

Location: Delta, BC

Employment Type: Full-Time

Compensation: $80,000–$110,000+ CAD , based on experience

TeamBuilders Consulting is seeking an experienced Software Developer – Industrial Data & Automation for their client, a growing technology and engineering organization.

This is an opportunity for a software or data skilled who enjoys turning complex data into practical applications, dashboards, and solutions . You’ll work with industrial data from SCADA systems, equipment, historians, and connected systems to acquire, transform, contextualize, and visualize information that supports real-world operations.

What You’ll Do

- Develop software applications, dashboards, reports, and data solutions
- Build and maintain data pipelines using Python and SQL
- Work with PostgreSQL, SQL Server, TimescaleDB , and industrial historians
- Develop data visualizations and user interfaces
- Design ETL/ELT pipelines and analytics solutions
- Integrate systems using APIs and protocols such as OPC UA, MQTT, and Modbus
- Collaborate with engineers, project managers, controls teams, and clients
- Troubleshoot and support deployed solutions




- Improve delivery through automation, templates, and repeatable processes
- Contribute to modern data platform architecture and solution design

What We’re Looking For

- 3+ years of experience in software development, data engineering, analytics, or a related field
- Strong Python and SQL skills
- Solid database experience
- Demonstrated experience with dashboards, data visualization, or reporting
- Experience with data pipelines, ETL/ELT, or system integrations
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
- Self-motivated, adaptable, and eager to learn

Industrial automation experience is a plus, but not required. The organization is willing to develop the right candidate's knowledge of the industrial environment. Why Consider This Opportunity?
