Job Summary

We are seeking a dependable, physically fit Site Preparation & Utility Trenching Specialist to handle ground-prep operations for residential and commercial generator installations. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing concrete generator pads and manually excavating trenches for electrical conduit and gas lines. This position offers flexible scheduling, competitive pay, and comprehensive employee benefits.

Duties

- Concrete Base Preparation: Excavate ground, build wooden forms, lay gravel bases, and pour/finish concrete pads tailored to generator specifications.
- Manual Utility Trenching: Safely dig trenches by hand (using shovels, picks, and manual tools) to required depths and specs for electrical conduit and natural gas/propane supply lines.
- Backfilling & Site Restoration: Carefully backfill trenches, tamp soil to prevent settling, clean up work areas, and restore customer property to original condition.
- Safety & Utility Compliance: Hand-dig around existing underground utilities safely according to locate marks and safety guidelines.
- Equipment & Material Handling: Load, unload, and transport tools, cement mixes, aggregate, and ground-prep materials to job sites.

Qualifications

- Prior experience in manual labor, trenching,



concrete work, landscape construction, or utility line preparation.
- Ability to perform demanding physical labor daily (shoveling, lifting up to 75 lbs, bending, stooping) in various weather conditions.
- Knowledge of hand tool safety and proper manual excavation techniques.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and reliable transportation.
- Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and ability to work independently.
- Knowledge of irrigation installation and maintenance is a plus.
- Strong physical stamina with the ability to perform outdoor work in various weather conditions.

Pay: $17.22-$30.45 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
