Role: Lead AI Engineer with Python and Azure Experience

Location: Canada _ Remote

Experience: 12+ Years Must

Rate: CAD 60/hr. MAX

Nice to have banking / Finance domain experience in recent projects

Required qualifications for Lead Full-Stack GenAI Developer

Deep, recent experience personally building and deploying production GenAI, RAG or agentic systems.

Advanced Python and strong software-design, API, asynchronous-processing, testing and debugging skills.

Strong understanding of retrieval, context engineering, model behaviour, structured generation, agents, evaluation and observability.

Candidates must be able to demonstrate recent personal code contributions to production GenAI systems. Experience limited to architecture oversight, technical management, notebooks or demonstrations is insufficient.





Practical experience with Azure AI services and/or Databricks, with the ability to work productively across both.

Experience integrating AI services with enterprise data and application systems.

Robust SQL and production data-engineering capability, including data profiling, transformation, quality validation, schema evolution, lineage and reliable batch or event-driven pipelines.

Experience implementing security, resilience, error handling and operational telemetry in production services. • Ability to lead technically while remaining a substantial individual contributor.
