What You Bring to the Table The Lead Fencer helps our customers on site work safe and get the job done on time. With empathy, the Lead Fencer trains and works alongside team members on our scaffold and temporary fencing team.
Responsibilities include: Operate and drive fencing truck and trailer safely to and from job sites.
Lead day-to-day site operations and supervise a team of fencing laborers and temporary staff.
Train team members on correct installation techniques, safety protocols, and product knowledge.
Ensure all assigned jobs are completed accurately, on time, and to quality standards.
Act as the primary field contact for customer communications, resolving issues and ensuring a positive client experience.
Ensure every customer is treated in a fair and consistent manner, resolving issues as they arise. Possess excellent product knowledge and can effectively transfer this knowledge to customers. This includes explaining features and benefits, protected operating techniques, and promoting related accessories/products.
Uphold and enforce all company safety procedures and policies.
Ensure the upkeep, maintenance, and safety of all areas of the work environment.
Conduct daily equipment inspections and report any defects, damages, or malfunctions to the manager.
Assist with loading and unloading trucks as needed.
Clean and wash equipment.
Follow all paperwork and computer procedures related to the servicing of the equipment, inventory control, and job site requirements.
Qualifications 1 year experience leading/supervising a fencing/scaffolding team or similar experience.
Valid
Class 5 Driver’s License with clean abstract preferred
Basic technical and troubleshooting skills are an asset.
Interpersonal and communication skills to effectively deal with customers in person and on the phone.
Able to multi-task and work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.
