Pita Mania is hiring a LINE-COOK (Part time) 25 to 25 hrs./week. This is a permanent position. Wage is based on performance and is reviewed annually plus bonuses. Duties will consist of preparing and cooking food, cleaning and setting up of the line as well as assisting the other team members with daily tasks.

Must be able to work alone and get along with others within a small team. Set schedule and flexibility available. Closed on Sundays and all major holidays. Operating hours are 3pm to 8pm Monday and Tuesday and Wed.

- Saturday 11am to 8pm. Must have own transportation as no public transportation is available.

Responsibilities

- Set up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies
- Prepare food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces)
- Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
- Answer, report and follow direction of management
- Clean up station and take care of leftover food
- Stock inventory appropriately
- Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion
- Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
- Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers





Required Experience:

- Experience is preferred but not necessary.
- Must have a valid Food Handler's certificate
- Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures
- Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks is imperative
- Familiar with industry’s best practices
