We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Live-in Nanny/Caregiver to provide attentive care and support for a 10-year-old girl with Down syndrome starting immediately. This full-time position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in a child's life by fostering a secure, nurturing, and engaging environment. The ideal candidate will be patient, responsible, and experienced in working with children with disabilities, ensuring their well-being and development are prioritized at all times.
Duties
- Provide daily personal care and assistance tailored to the child's needs, including mobility support and health monitoring
- Prepare nutritious meals and snacks suitable for the child's dietary requirements
- Assist with morning routines, dricing to school and pick up from school
- Engage the child in age-appropriate activities that promote social, emotional, and physical development
- Maintain a clean and organized living space, including light housekeeping and laundry related to the child's care
- Support the child's participation in community outings, appointments, and recreational activities
- Administer medication as directed by parents or healthcare providers if needed
- Foster a positive,
supportive environment that encourages independence and confidence
- Sunday evening to Friday morning
- Weekends off
- Care required before and after school on school days, and full-day care on non-school days
- Must be available to pick her up and care for her if school calls
Requirements
- Prior experience working with children, especially those with disabilities or special needs, is highly preferred
- Compassionate attitude with excellent caregiving skills and patience
- Preparation of meals cater to her
- Comfortable with cleaning duties related to childcare responsibilities
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with parents and healthcare professionals
- Reliable, responsible, and able to commit to a live-in arrangement
- Basic teaching abilities to support developmental milestones and educational activities
- Clear criminal record check
- Valid driver’s license
- Reliable vehicle
