Artree Studio is currently looking for two kinds of volunteers.

Event Volunteer

Where: Park Art Jamming events — free, drop-in art activities for families at parks around Richmond

What you'd do: help with event setup and cleanup, greeting and registering participants, supporting kids and families at activity tables, handing out and tracking art supplies, and (with consent) supporting approved photo/social media coverage of the event.

Skills needed: none in particular — friendliness, reliability, and comfort helping out at an outdoor community event.

Time commitment: flexible. Most events run on weekends; you can sign up for a single event or on an ongoing basis.

Art Volunteer

Where: guided art workshops at community sites — senior-care centres, women's organizations, newcomer and community groups — typically for 10-15 participants.

What you'd do: lead a straightforward, guided art activity — mainly drawing or painting — using materials Artree provides (we keep a good stock of acrylic paints on hand). We're still finalizing how much lesson-planning support we'll provide on our end, so the activity concept may sometimes be yours to bring.

Skills needed:



comfortable with a visual art medium — mainly drawing or painting, with some room for clay work — and enjoyment working with people. No formal teaching background required.

Screening: because this role involves leading a group, we ask applicants to include a short look at their work when signing up — a link to an Instagram or portfolio account, or a few photos of recent pieces. This helps us match you to a group and activity that fits your style, and isn't a formal audition.

Time commitment: flexible. Single sessions or ongoing, based on your availability and the workshops we have scheduled.

Good to know, either role

- Good experience if you're interested in teaching, community work, event coordination, or arts education.
- Because both programs are new, we'll follow up as workshops and events are scheduled and match volunteers as opportunities come up.
