Marketing Coordinator

Okanagan Gondola | Vernon, BC | Salary $55,000-60,000

Reports to: Director of Marketing, Okanagan Gondola

We’re looking for a creative and motivated Marketing Coordinator to join the Okanagan Gondola team as we prepare to open in Spring 2027.

Working closely with the Director of Marketing, you’ll help bring the Okanagan Gondola brand to life across every stage of the guest journey. You’ll gain hands-on experience across a wide range of marketing initiatives, from brand campaigns, social media and email to public relations, partnerships, events, out-of-home advertising and on-site marketing.

You’ll also have the opportunity to work alongside experienced agency partners across strategy, design, media, PR and creative production, gaining exposure to both the strategic thinking and hands-on execution behind the launch and ongoing marketing of a major current tourism attraction.

What You’ll Do

Content, Social & Email

- Help execute Okanagan Gondola’s social media strategy and content calendar.
- Capture engaging photo and video content on-site using a smartphone and other content-production tools.
- Edit short-form video for Reels, Stories and other social platforms.
- Write engaging, on-brand social and marketing copy and help engage with our online community.
- Build, schedule and test email campaigns and automated customer journeys.
- Support audience segmentation, database growth and email performance.
- Create simple, polished graphics and marketing materials using Canva.
- Help organize and maintain our growing library of photography, video and creative assets.
- Assist with website content updates and other digital marketing initiatives.
- Experience with Klaviyo is a strong asset.

Brand, Campaigns & Advertising

- Support the execution of integrated marketing campaigns across digital, print, out-of-home and on-site channels.
- Coordinate campaign deliverables, timelines and assets across internal teams, agencies and vendors.
- Work with agency partners on creative development, media planning and campaign execution.
- Help ensure marketing materials and communications consistently reflect Okanagan Gondola’s brand.
- Coordinate the production of marketing collateral, advertising materials,



signage and on-site promotional assets.
- Support seasonal campaigns, promotions, events and destination programming.
- Help identify new opportunities to bring the Okanagan Gondola brand to life throughout the guest experience.

PR, Partnerships & Events

- Support public relations initiatives and coordinate with agency partners on media opportunities.
- Assist with media visits, interviews, announcements and other communications activities.
- Help coordinate influencer and content creator partnerships and visits.
- Support relationships and collaborative marketing initiatives with tourism organizations, community partners and local businesses.
- Support Okanagan Gondola events, activations and programming as required, including assisting with promotion, preparation and on-site execution.
- Help identify interesting stories, people and moments that can be shared through earned, owned and social channels.

Marketing Coordination & Performance

- Maintain marketing calendars, project timelines, campaign trackers and other planning tools.
- Coordinate with vendors, agencies and internal teams to keep projects moving and deliverables on schedule.
- Track social, email, website and campaign performance and assist with regular reporting.
- Help gather insights from marketing activity and identify opportunities to improve future campaigns.
- Support the Director of Marketing with day-to-day marketing priorities and special projects.
- Collaborate with operations, food and beverage, retail, guest experience and other teams as the destination prepares to open and moves into operation.
- Support select Ridge North America marketing initiatives as required.

Qualifications & What We’re Looking For We’re looking for someone with a strong foundation in marketing and communications who is excited to build their skills across a wide range of marketing disciplines.

- A degree or diploma in marketing, communications, public relations, business, tourism, hospitality or a related field, or 2–4 years of relevant marketing or communications experience.
- Experience creating content for social media platforms such as Instagram and TikTok,



including short-form video.
- Strong writing and communication skills, with the ability to adapt your writing for different channels and audiences.
- Experience creating simple, polished marketing materials using Canva or similar tools.
- Familiarity with email marketing and an interest in customer lifecycle marketing, segmentation and automation. Experience with Klaviyo is a strong asset.
- Comfortable capturing photo and video content using a smartphone and learning new content creation and editing tools.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects, deadlines and deliverables.
- Comfortable working collaboratively with internal teams, agencies, vendors and external partners.
- Curious, creative and proactive, with a willingness to contribute ideas, ask questions and take on new challenges.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment where priorities may evolve as we move from construction through launch and into operations.
- Interest in tourism, hospitality, outdoor recreation and the Okanagan is an asset.
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.

It Would Be Great If You Also Have:

- Experience with Klaviyo or another email marketing and automation platform.
- Experience working in tourism, hospitality, attractions, outdoor recreation or another experience-based industry.
- Experience supporting integrated marketing campaigns across digital, print, out-of-home or other advertising channels.
- Exposure to public relations, media relations, influencer marketing or partnerships.
- Experience with website content management systems and basic digital analytics.
- Photography or video editing skills beyond basic social content creation.
- Experience working with creative, media, PR or marketing agencies.

Working Conditions

- During construction and pre-launch, this role will primarily work remotely, with regular visits to the Okanagan Gondola site south of Vernon and occasional time in Ridge North America’s Kelowna office.
- Full-time on-site presence will be required once Okanagan Gondola is operational.
- Some evenings, weekends and event participation will be required, particularly around launch, special events and peak seasons.
- Some travel may be required.
