Prairie Flour Mills Ltd. is a Manitoba-based wheat/flour processing company that serves all facets of the North American food industry, including bakery and food service distributors, as well as manufacturers. We are currently seeking a highly motivated person to fill a Milling assistant position.

Responsibilities

The individual will be helping the milling supervisors to operate the mill and performing daily operational tasks.

Performing and monitoring daily quality and process analysis according to guidelines set out by the supervisor.

Monitoring the milling process and do housekeeping as per instructions.

Ensuring good manufacturing practice, hazardous awareness, and company policies and procedures are followed.

Participating in cleaning and equipment maintenance.

Follow Health and Safety guidelines for a safe workplace environment.

Reporting to supervisor for daily job activities, any equipment issues, or any concerns impacting the quality or production.

Recording the data and maintain the paperwork or electronic files.

Must be physically fit and be able to handle 50lb bags of flour.

Must be willing to workdays/afternoon/nights.

Other duties as required.

REQUIREMENTS

Technical or mechanical background will be an asset.

Computer, internet, and Microsoft Office skills.





Strong communication skills including verbal and written.

Must be able to work flexible schedule.

Must be a Canadian Resident.
