Music & Movement Teacher – Living Water Dayhomes
Location: Calgary & Chestermere, Alberta
Position: Full time / Part-Time Music & Movement Teacher
Class Length: Approximately 30 minutes per class
Do You Love Music, Children, and Having Fun?
We are looking for a fun, energetic, caring, and reliable person to join our team as a Music & Movement Teacher for our dayhomes in Calgary and Chestermere.
You do not need a formal music teaching qualification to apply. We are looking for someone who genuinely enjoys being around young children, loves to sing and play, and can create a fun and positive experience for children.
Someone who can play an instrument such as guitar and enjoys singing with children would be especially welcome!
What You Will Do
- Visit our dayhome locations in Calgary and Chestermere.
- Lead approximately 30-minute music and movement classes for young children.
- Sing songs and encourage children to sing along.
- Play guitar or another suitable musical instrument.
- Incorporate movement, dancing, rhythm, and fun activities.
- Encourage children to participate, explore, laugh, and have fun.
- Create a warm, positive, and engaging environment for children.
- Build positive relationships with children and educators.
- Travel between different dayhome locations.
You do not have to plan everything yourself. Our organization will provide support and help with class planning, activity ideas, and programming. Who We Are Looking For
We would love to meet someone who:
- Loves working with young children.
- Is energetic, playful, patient, and caring.
- Enjoys singing, music,
movement, and being silly with children.
- Is comfortable getting involved, playing, laughing, and having fun with children.
- Can confidently lead a small group of children.
- Has good communication and a positive attitude.
- Can work independently and is reliable.
- Has experience with children or early childhood programs — an asset.
- Can play guitar or another musical instrument — strong asset, but not required.
- Has an Alberta Child Care Certification — preferred, but not required.
Requirements
- Must have your own reliable vehicle and be able to travel between dayhome locations in Calgary and Chestermere.
- Police Information Check (PIC) with Vulnerable Sector Search.
- Current CPR/First Aid certification.
- Must be able to work around young children in a safe, responsible, and skilled manner.

Pay: $28.62-$33.62 per hour
