Department: Pharmacy The Department of Pharmacy Services is responsible for obtaining, storing, preparing, and distributing all medications for patients in the hospital and outpatient clinics. Our goal is to provide a drug distribution system which is protected, secure, reliable and efficient. Drug distribution is supported by Pharmacy Assistants, Regulated Pharmacy Technicians and Pharmacists.

QUALIFICATIONS

Certification/Experience/Knowledge:

- Registration with the Ontario College of Pharmacists required
- Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy (BScPhm) or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree required
- Experience in a Hospital setting is preferred

Skills/Abilities:

- Good attendance and work record required
- Excellent clinical assessment skills in identifying and solving drug related problems required
- Self-directed and able to work collaboratively in a team environment required
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills required
- Ability to drive to multi sites required
- Must demonstrate commitment to ensure the safety of fellow workers, patients,



volunteers, and visitors
- Must support and contribute to a culture of safety and prevention of adverse health events in this organization
- Must demonstrate commitment to the values of this organization
- Bilingualism (Advanced level English/French) is required. All unilingual candidates are encouraged to apply and may be considered if the identified French requirement has been met or there are no successful bilingual candidates. A formal French test will be conducted to evaluate the proficiency level.
