Sprout & Shine Academy is hiring passionate, qualified, and experienced Early Childhood Educators (ECE-IT) to join our growing team.

We are a purpose-built, Montessori-inspired childcare centre committed to providing high-quality care in a warm, nurturing, and engaging environment. Our programs focus on child-led learning, school readiness, creativity, language development, and social-emotional growth.

Position

- On-Call / Casual
- Shifts offered based on staffing needs, vacation coverage, sick coverage, and program requirements
- Weekday availability required
- Opportunity to transition into a regular part-time or full-time position based on performance, availability, and centre needs

Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide responsive and nurturing care for infants, toddlers, and preschool-aged children.
- Support classroom routines and implement engaging, age-appropriate activities that promote children’s cognitive, physical, emotional, and social development.
- Create a safe, inclusive, and Montessori-inspired learning environment that encourages independence and curiosity.
- Use positive guidance strategies to support children’s behaviour, emotional regulation, and social growth.
- Maintain health, safety, supervision, cleanliness, and licensing standards at all times.




- Observe children and complete required daily documentation and records.
- Communicate professionally and respectfully with families and colleagues.
- Collaborate with educators to maintain a consistent and high-quality program.
- Adapt confidently to different classrooms, age groups, routines, and staffing needs.
- Uphold professionalism and represent Sprout & Shine Academy with warmth, care, and positivity.

Qualifications & Skills
- Valid BC ECE or ECE-IT License to Practice
- Current Emergency Child Care First Aid & CPR Certification
- Clear Criminal Record Check
- Experience in licensed childcare or early childhood settings preferred
- Experience working with infants and toddlers is an asset
- Strong communication skills in English; Cantonese or Mandarin is a solid asset
- Knowledge of childcare principles and early learning frameworks
- Ability to work effectively with children of diverse backgrounds and abilities
- Excellent organizational, time-management, and multitasking skills
- Reliable, flexible, caring, team-oriented, and professional
- Ability to adapt quickly to different classroom environments and routines
