We are currently looking to hire our next great team member for the position of Operations Supervisor located in Charlottetown, PE. This is an ideal opportunity for a hands-on, safety-minded leader who can organize people, equipment, schedules, and priorities while helping a busy branch deliver a consistent customer experience.

What You'll Do

As an Operations Supervisor, you'll play a key role in ensuring the smooth, safe, and efficient execution of daily branch operations across dispatch, transportation, yard flow, logistics, service coordination, and inside sales support.

- Oversee daily branch operations, including dispatch, transportation, yard flow, logistics, service coordination, and operational support for Inside Sales.
- Monitor daily priorities, workloads, equipment movement, service readiness, customer commitments, and operational bottlenecks to support smooth execution.
- Improve workflows to strengthen speed, accuracy, safety, quality, customer responsiveness, and consistency across the branch.
- Monitor operational KPIs, identify performance gaps, and support corrective actions that improve accountability and branch execution.
- Coordinate equipment availability, preventive maintenance priorities, fleet utilization, and readiness with Service, Sales, Dispatch, Yard, and branch leadership.
- Lead visible safety routines, including safety huddles, hazard walks, PPE checks, safe-work coaching, and corrective action follow-up.




- Coach and support frontline employees through clear expectations, regular observations, constructive feedback, and development conversations.
- Help resolve customer issues promptly while maintaining organized, customer-ready showroom, yard, staging, and branch environments.
- Support cost control by monitoring overtime, hauling expenses, outside repairs, labour productivity, and the effective use of vehicles and fleet assets.
- Implement and reinforce SOPs, support operational audits, and communicate safety alerts, policy changes, operational updates, and KPI results.

Qualifications

Required

- Experience in operations, dispatch, transportation, fleet, equipment rental, service coordination, logistics, yard operations, branch operations, or a related customer-facing operational setting.




- Demonstrated ability to coach frontline teams, clarify expectations, provide feedback, and drive accountability.
- Strong communication, prioritization, organization, problem-solving, and customer service skills.
- Comfort using business systems, dispatch records, operational reports, KPI tracking tools, spreadsheets, and Microsoft Office applications.
- Commitment to safe work procedures, PPE compliance, hazard identification, and consistent branch safety routines.
- Ability to work legally in Canada.

Preferred

- Experience supervising drivers, dispatch, yard, inside sales, service support, or branch operations teams.
- Experience in equipment rental, construction equipment, transportation, logistics, industrial operations, or service-based branch environments.
- Experience supporting fleet utilization, preventive maintenance compliance, customer issue resolution, dispatch efficiency, cost control, or branch process improvement.
- Additional training in leadership, safety, operations management, dispatch and logistics, continuous improvement, or fleet management.
