Duties

- Conduct thorough eye examinations to assess visual acuity, eye health, and overall ocular function using advanced diagnostic tools.
- Diagnose and manage a wide range of eye conditions, including refractive errors, glaucoma, cataracts, and pediatric ocular issues.
- Prescribe corrective lenses, medications, or treatments tailored to each patient's needs, ensuring optimal visual outcomes.
- Collaborate with patients to develop personalized care plans while providing education on eye health maintenance and preventive practices.
- Maintain accurate patient records utilizing electronic health record systems such as Epic and document clinical findings clearly and comprehensively.
- Provide specialized care for senior patients and pediatric populations, addressing age-specific ocular concerns with sensitivity and expertise.




- Promote optical products and services through professional sales techniques to enhance patient satisfaction and practice growth.

Skills

- Proven experience in optical care with a strong understanding of vision correction options and ocular health management.
- Familiarity with pediatric eye care practices to effectively diagnose and treat children's visual needs.
- Excellent patient care skills with the ability to communicate complex medical information clearly and compassionately.
- Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to ophthalmology and optometry practices for accurate documentation and communication.
- Experience working with electronic health records systems such as Epic to streamline patient data management.
- Ability to provide senior care by addressing age-related ocular conditions with patience and precision.
- Strong sales aptitude to recommend optical products confidently while maintaining ethical standards and enhancing patient trust.
