- PADDLE Continuing Education Instructor: $35/hour, including 4% vacation and 4% Stat holiday pay. (35 hours weekly)
Required Teaching Qualifications:
- A Valid Ontario College of Teachers Certificate
- A Valid Certificate of Registration from the Ontario College of Teachers
- Primary, Junior, Intermediate and/or Senior Teaching Qualifications
- Special Education Specialist Qualification or Special Education Part 2 and evidence of working towards specialist
Position Criteria:
- Ability to work with adult students who have complex needs and/or developmental disabilities who might require support with self-regulation, behavior management, and/or social learning and communication
- Ability to work collaboratively as a part of a multi-faceted team supporting students
- Ability to implement differentiated instruction to support a wide variety of adult student learning needs
- Effective communication and reporting skills (For example, reporting attendance in Edsby)
- Ability to write and implement Individual Student Learning Plans, as required
- Valid driver’s license
