Schedule: Mondays and Tuesdays

Position: Part-time, 0.4 FTE

Nebula Academy is seeking a certified teacher to provide French instruction and learning support. We are an independent Islamic school committed to academic achievement, character development, and a supportive learning environment.

French Teaching Responsibilities

- Plan and deliver engaging French lessons that develop students’ speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills.
- Adapt lessons to students’ language proficiency and learning needs.
- Assess student learning and maintain records of progress.
- Create a positive classroom environment that encourages participation and confidence in using French.

Support Teaching Responsibilities

- Provide individual and small-group support in literacy, numeracy, and other learning areas as needed.




- Work with classroom teachers and the principal to identify students requiring additional support.
- Implement targeted learning strategies and adapt materials to meet individual needs.
- Monitor and document student progress and adjust support accordingly.
- Communicate regularly with classroom teachers to ensure consistent support.

Qualifications

- Bachelor of Education and valid Alberta teaching certification.
- Solid French proficiency and the ability to teach French confidently.
- Strong classroom management, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Ability to support students with a range of learning needs.
- Availability to work Mondays and Tuesdays.
- Experience teaching French and providing learning interventions is an asset.

Pay: $250.00 per day
