Part-Time Service Technician

Homes by Sher-Bilt is looking for a reliable, flexible, and skilled “jack or jill of all trades” to help with a variety of service and touch-up work, as well as staining of exterior beams and painting smart-board, on homes located in Beaumont, Leduc, and surrounding counties. This is a part-time, as-needed position suited to someone who enjoys hands-on work, takes pride in quality workmanship, and can work independently.

Responsibilities

- Complete minor wall repairs, including mudding, taping, sanding, and painting.
- Adjust interior and exterior doors, handles, hinges, and related hardware.
- Perform general service work and small repairs in homes as required.
- Touch up finishes and address minor deficiencies with care and attention to detail.
- Exterior staining of wood beams and painting of smart-board on recent homes.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with homeowners, trades, and office staff when needed.
- Keep basic records of work completed, time, mileage, and materials used.

Qualifications

- Experience with general repairs, finishing, home maintenance, or construction service work is a must.




- Must be dependable, organized, and able to work with minimal supervision.
- Must have your own vehicle suitable for transporting tools and supplies, and a valid driver’s licence.
- Basic tools suitable for general service and repair work will be provided
- Must be comfortable travelling to home sites in Beaumont, Leduc, and surrounding counties as needed.
- Strong communication skills and a customer-service mindset are important.

Compensation

- Part-time, as-needed hours based on service requirements. Starting immediately.
- Hourly pay will be based on experience and skill level. Ranging from $25 - $30 per hour
- Mileage will be reimbursed for approved work-related travel.
- A small allowance will be provided for cell phone usage.
- Please note that this position does not include health perks.

Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
