Responsibilities

- Assist residents or clients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to promote independence and dignity
- Support with medication administration following proper protocols and documentation procedures
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with feeding when necessary
- Provide compassionate patient care in various settings including assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or private homes
- Perform light cleaning duties to maintain a safe and hygienic environment for residents and staff
- Support with dementia care, hospice care, or individuals with disabilities by implementing personalized care plans




- Engage residents in social activities and companionship to foster emotional well-being and community connection

Requirements

- Previous experience in assisted living, nursing home, or home care environments is highly desirable
- Knowledge of patient care practices, including medication administration and hygiene support
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when assisting residents with mobility or transfers
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with residents, families, and healthcare team members
- Certification as a Personal Support Worker (PSW) or Health Support Worker (HSW) is preferred; relevant training will be supported if needed
- Experience working with individuals with dementia or disabilities is an asset
- Ability to handle sensitive situations with empathy, patience, and professionalism
