Why This role matters

Whitley Newman Insurance & Financial Services is hiring for an Account Manager, Personal Lines. The successful incumbent will be responsible for maintaining a book of business, generating new business, servicing client needs, and assisting the producer on new business activities.

What you’ll be responsible for:

•Be a trusted advisor. Inform and educate clients of their insurance options.

•Respond promptly to telephone, email, walk-in, and fax enquiries ensuring a high level of service is maintained.

•Review renewals and provide recommendations, coverage details and options, and comparison quotes for remarket when needed.

•Total account sales awareness, cross sell and up sell as much as possible.

•Action policy change requests, claims, notices, and cancellation requests.

•Process change requests on company portals when needed.

•Document EPIC with all client related conversations and attachments.

•Order reports to follow up on.

•Complete miscellaneous duties as assigned.

•Support other members of the team and act as a personal insurance resource when possible.

What you bring to the role:

•Minimum 3 years insurance experience

•R.I.B.O. is required and preferably working towards C.I.P. or C.A.I.B. designation





•Client development / relationship management experience

•Superb interpersonal and presentation skills and attention to detail

•Ability to be a self starter with strong written and oral communication skills in addition to strong organizational skills

•Proficiency in Outlook, Word and EPIC
