Neighbourly Pharmacy is looking for a Casual Pharmacy Assistant/Delivery Driver to join our team at Forbes Pharmacy - Pandora in Victoria, British Columbia.
Compensation listed is a starting point only and will be determined based on candidate experience.
Pharmacy Assistant Responsibilities: Support pharmacists and pharmacy technicians in providing high-quality patient care
Greet customers and answer phone calls in a professional manner
Assist with entering, labelling, and packaging prescriptions under the supervision of a pharmacist or pharmacy technician
Accurately count, measure, and package medications according to established protocols
Receive and stock medication and supply shipments, monitor inventory levels, rotate stock, and support inventory audits
Keep the pharmacy area clean and organized; safely dispose of expired medications and hazardous waste in accordance with regulations
Perform clerical tasks such as filing, faxing, scanning, and assist with insurance claims and prescription transfers
Assist with daily pharmacy operations and perform other duties as assigned Delivery Driver Responsibilities: Perform pickups and deliveries of medications and medical supplies throughout Victoria
Reports directly to the Pharmacy Manager
Maintains the safety and security of all cargo
Complete delivery documentation and ensure delivery slips are signed and submitted.
Lifts and maneuvers large packages as required
Maintains accurate records
Carries out additional duties assigned by the Pharmacy Manager Qualifications: Experience as a Pharmacy Assistant in a retail pharmacy is preferred
Completion of a Pharmacy Assistant program is an asset
Experience with Kroll software is considered a strong asset A valid provincial driver’s license and a clean driving record are required
First Aid and CPR certification is required.
Candidates will be required to use their own reliable vehicle for deliveries. Mileage reimbursement will be provided.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to thrive in a team setting
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize multiple assignments
Ability to stand for long periods and occasional lifting of boxes/containers
Ability to lift and maneuver large packages
Ability to follow procedures and guidelines accurately
Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
Criminal Record Check required Schedule: The store operates Monday to Friday from 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM, and Saturday, Sunday and Statutory Holidays from 7:30 AM to 5:00 PM
Hours for this role are 7:00 AM to 12:00 PM, scheduled as needed.
