Responsibilities
- Assist the pharmacist with preparing and dispensing medications accurately and efficiently
- Manage inventory by receiving deliveries, restocking shelves, and monitoring medication expiry dates
- Provide excellent patient care by answering questions, offering medication guidance, and supporting medication administration processes
- Maintain precise medical terminology records and update patient files in accordance with privacy regulations
- Support the pharmacist with administrative tasks such as data entry, labeling prescriptions, and processing insurance claims
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and pharmacy protocols during medication handling and storage
Qualifications
- Previous pharmacy experience or familiarity with healthcare environments is highly desirable
- Experience working as a pharmacy assistant or in a similar role is preferred
- Strong understanding of medical terminology and medication administration procedures
- Passion for patient care with excellent communication skills to engage effectively with diverse populations
- Ability to work accurately under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
- Knowledge of pharmacy software systems and inventory management tools is advantageous
