The Pediatric Hematology & Oncology ambulatory clinic provides comprehensive care to patients with pediatric blood and oncology diagnoses. The care includes acute tertiary and subspecialty oncology medical and surgical care within a family-centered setting. The Hematology & Oncology pediatric team provides care in the outpatient setting in collaboration with the inpatient and community teams.

This position works morning hours 8AM-12PM Monday – Friday.

This position is temporary until September 2027.

- Current registration with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario
- Minimum 1 year Pediatric physio experience within the last 4 years in the care of infants, children and their families within a tertiary care/acute care setting

- Demonstrated excellence in communication (verbal and non-verbal), critical thinking, mentoring, coaching and working within an interdisciplinary team

- Demonstrated facilitation, coordination, assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation skills

- Evidence of ability to facilitate change, foster innovation and model the values of the organization

- Evidence of continuous learning

The Physiotherapist provides and documents assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation within the scope of practice of physiotherapists. The Physiotherapist will communicate and collaborate effectively with the interdisciplinary team members.

The Physiotherapist provides physical therapy to children with cancer focusing on minimizing symptoms, improving function, and enhancing the quality of life for these children during and after cancer treatment. The Physiotherapist will support patients and families with education and guidance throughout the patient’s journey.
