HOURS 10 hours per home per week

Summary We require a skilled Physiotherapist to provide rehabilitation services to Residents. You will also be responsible for providing recommendations and equipment prescription for Residents including serving as a resource and educator to the Home’s staff and Residents/Families regarding equipment recommendations. Key Responsibilities
Implement, monitor, and modify equipment to achieve Resident/Family goals in the areas of seating and positioning, equipment use and safety, and strategies to improve function
Provide in-house staff education sessions on topics such as adaptive equipment and ergonomic set-up for staff injury prevention, as required
Qualifications
Registrant in positive standing with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario
Completion of satisfactory Police Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC) upon hire
Up-to-date on required vaccinations, including influenza vaccine (or commitment to take anti-viral medications in case of an outbreak), MMR, DTaP, varicella, and TB skin test
Knowledge/experience in evidence-based musculoskeletal and neurological practice, with a strong emphasis on functional outcomes
Superior communication and clinical reasoning skills
Caring and compassionate in all interactions with Residents and Families
