In this unique role, you'll work alongside physicians, nurse practitioners, and a broad interdisciplinary team to provide comprehensive musculoskeletal assessments, evidence-based treatment, and chronic pain management and education for patients receiving in-patient care for mental health and addiction. You'll have the opportunity to treat both new and pre-existing MSK conditions while contributing to a holistic model of recovery that addresses the whole person; physical and mental health together.

This contract opportunity is ideal for a physiotherapist looking to diversify or grow their practice, deepen their experience in chronic pain care, and make a meaningful contribution to patient recovery in a truly integrated care setting.

What you'll be doing:

- Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical conditions and functional status
- Develop individualized treatment plans that integrate physical therapy techniques to improve mobility and enhance overall function
- Implement evidence-based interventions including therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, and other specialized techniques, tailored to the unique needs of patients managing pain alongside mental health concerns
- Collaborate closely with physicians, nurse practitioners, registered massage therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a fully integrated approach to patient care




- Educate patients on self-management strategies and the role of physical activity in pain management, fostering empowerment and active participation in their own recovery
- Monitor patient progress, adjust treatment plans as needed, and maintain accurate, detailed records in compliance with healthcare regulations and HHC documentation standards
- Contribute to a positive, supportive clinic culture grounded in compassion, understanding, and empathy for patients navigating both chronic pain and mental health challenges

What we're looking for:

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Physiotherapy from an accredited institution
- Registered and in good standing with the College of Physiotherapists of Ontario
- Demonstrated experience assessing and treating a broad range of musculoskeletal conditions, both acute and chronic
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with patients, their families, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
- Empathy, compassion, and a trauma-informed approach to care, emphasizing the importance of the mind-body connection in the treatment of pain
- Proven organizational skills and the ability to manage a diverse caseload efficiently




- Dedication to ongoing professional development and a commitment to staying informed about the latest developments in the field of physiotherapy
- Commitment to timely, accurate clinical documentation in accordance with organizational and regulatory standards
- Adherence to privacy legislation and organizational policies regarding the use and access of patient health information
