Plant Security

GENERAL DUTIES:

Monitors and controls the movement of people and materials into and out of site; records entry and departure times; performs regular patrols and inspections of Hydro powerhouses and structures to ensure that all buildings and equipment are secure from theft and safe from fire hazards; responds to fire alarms and assists in dealing with fires; cleans respirators; charges fire extinguishers and SCBA; issues fuel to authorized vehicles; performs atmospheric environment services, records water elevation readings and maintains a record of the same; acts as first responder to the Plant Emergency Organizations and administers First Aid and CPR, and all other duties related to or associated with this classification.

­

Responsible for personal safety and that of co-workers by observing and promoting the Corporation's Safety and Health Program. Responsible for any environmental aspects of the job and performing work in an environmentally responsible manner.

­

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

High school graduation, one (1)



year experience in security related work, certified in Standard First Aid with experience in first aid administration. Must be able to use Self-Contained Breathing Apparatus and be familiar with fire fighting techniques. Shall have a thorough knowledge of all regulations and safety rules. Must possess an appropriate valid driver’s license.
