Montesanto Bakery is a traditional Italian bakery with a modern twist, offering fresh bread, pastries, hot table meals, and deli items. We are currently looking for a dependable and hardworking Assistant Cook to join our kitchen team.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about food preparation and quality.

Responsibilities

- Assist with preparation of hot table meals and deli items
- Perform basic food prep (chopping, portioning, assembling)
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen and prep areas
- Follow recipes and ensure consistency in quality and presentation
- Assist with inventory, restocking, and receiving deliveries
- Follow all food safety and sanitation standards
- Support kitchen team during busy service periods

Requirements





- Previous kitchen or food prep experience preferred
- Experience with Italian cuisine is an asset
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Reliable, punctual, and organized
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 lbs
