About the role

As Centah’s Product Designer, you are passionate about simplifying and improving user experience. You create simple, compelling, and meaningful product experiences that enable a wide variety of users to achieve their goals. You are a creative problem solver and communicator, delivering concepts from initial sketches through to testing and evaluating final implementations. You like to show your work and believe every design has a excellent story to tell.

Reporting to the Director of Product and working seamlessly as a part of our product and engineering teams, your empathy for users, and detailed approach to design, will assist our team in building a remarkable platform experience that centers effortless design as a cornerstone of our reputation. With thorough user research skills and an impeccable visual design sense you will champion efficient interfaces that accentuate our functionality.

What you'll be doing

- Actively contribute at every stage of the project lifecycle, collaborating with the project team to brainstorm concepts, develop creative solutions, and design user flows while meeting deadlines.
- Own core component libraries to evolve the Centah design system, driving the design, specification, and maintenance of complex UI components, ensuring they meet the highest standards of craft and usability.
- Champion visual quality and craft,



ensuring that every component—from buttons to complex data tables—is polished, accessible, and aligned with our brand identity.
- Demonstrate curiosity about user behavior and leverage quantitative and qualitative research to inform product and design decisions.
- Work closely with product stakeholders refining requirements, performing user interviews and running internal feedback sessions to find opportunities for usability improvement within the platform.
- Collaborate with developers to ensure technical feasibility, accepting input and feedback from different groups and making occasional compromises to deliver high-quality products on time.
- Prioritize UX debt by understanding complex information architecture and system mapping.
- Synthesizing requirements from many sources into elegant succinct designs.

- Possesses a highly collaborative working style and demonstrated experience excelling in a cross-functional role

- A portfolio of high-caliber work that showcases your design process from initial research to high-fidelity, responsive design.

- Expertise in modern Figma workflows (Auto-layout, Components, Variants, Properties) which enables building libraries and components that are easy for other designers to use.
- Disciplined organizational skills in both work prioritization and approach to figma file structure.
- Outstanding visual design skills with an eye for typography, layout, and hierarchy that demonstrates care for the details.




- Outstanding presentation and communication skills that help cross-functional teams understand the purpose behind designs.
- Demonstrated ability to identify gaps in systems and propose solutions without waiting to be asked.
- Fair grasp of how designs are implemented in code (HTML/CSS/React/Mobile) and can communicate effectively with developers about constraints and trade-offs.

Preferred Experience:
- Enterprise or B2B software background.
- Home improvement or big-box retail experience.
