Avee Health delivers MSP-covered virtual care across British Columbia, patient apps, online booking, clinical workflows, and clinics inside partner pharmacies. We're hiring a Product Design Manager to lead and grow the design team behind all of it.

What you'll do

- Direct design across our patient-facing and clinician-facing products
- Build and manage the design team, assign and review work, run performance conversations, support people's development
- Recruit designers as the team grows, and make the hiring decisions
- Own the design budget: tooling, research, contractors
- Set the standards, design system, accessibility, research practice, design review
- Work with clinical, product and engineering stakeholders on requirements, scope, cost and timelines
- Direct design for regulated flows like intake, prescribing and referrals, where clarity matters for safety

What you need
- A degree or diploma in design, HCI, computer science, visual arts or a related field




- 5+ years in product or UX design, including 1+ years managing designers
- A track record directing design on shipped products, from discovery to release
- Experience building design standards and a design system
- Solid grounding in accessible design (WCAG)
- Able to explain design decisions in English to executives, engineers and clinicians

Nice to have
- A master's degree in a design, HCI or business field
- Healthcare, clinical software, or another regulated domain
- Experience building a design team from scratch

Pay: $120,000.00 per year
