CNC Programmer

We are looking for a detail-oriented and motivated CNC Programmer – Laser & Panel Bender to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for programming CNC fiber lasers and panel benders, optimizing material utilization, and working closely with Engineering and Production to support efficient and accurate manufacturing. The successful candidate's responsibilities will include: Programming CNC fiber laser and panel bender equipment to support production requirements.

Reviewing engineering drawings and DXF files to assess compatibility with existing laser capabilities.

Developing and optimizing programs to meet production schedules and established output targets.

Optimizing material utilization and minimizing scrap through effective programming and nesting techniques.

Collaborating with sheet metal suppliers to proactively address material requirements and minimize production interruptions.

Working closely with Engineering and Production to ensure programs are accurate, efficient, and aligned with manufacturing requirements.

Providing technical support to production cells after regular working hours, as required.





Identifying and supporting opportunities for continuous improvement in programming, processes, and material utilization.

The ideal candidate for this position will have: A diploma in Mechanical Engineering Technology, Manufacturing Technician, or a related technical program.

Proficiency with CAD/CAM software, including 2D and 3D programming applications and AutoCAD.

Previous experience programming CNC equipment for sheet metal manufacturing is considered an asset.

Robust ability to read, interpret, and work from engineering drawings and blueprints.

Strong attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with Engineering and Production teams.

Experience using precision measuring tools.

Knowledge of machining processes, including laser cutting parameters and panel bender capabilities, is considered an asset.

Experience operating CNC laser or press brake equipment is considered an asset.
