Sign FX is a custom signage fabrication and installation company serving major general contractors, institutional clients, and multi-location brands across Canada. We're consolidating into a new 16,000 sq. ft. production facility in Carleton Place and bringing our exterior fabrication fully in-house — and we need a hands-on production leader to run the floor.
What you'll do
- Supervise the production team, including scheduling and performance reviews
- Sequence jobs and manage production timelines across the shop
- Handle manufacturing purchasing and supplier relationships
- Drive LEAN practices, shop organization, and equipment maintenance
- Own QC and defect tracking so problems get caught before jobs ship
- Track capacity, manufacturing orders, and BOM accuracy in Odoo, and keep Odoo data current
- Set the quality bar for manufacturing orders before they hit the floor
What you bring
- 5+ years managing a production/manufacturing floor, ideally in signage, print, or fabrication
- Experience leading a multi-discipline team, including performance reviews
- Comfort with ERP/scheduling systems (Odoo an asset)
- A safety-first mindset and solid organizational instinctson skills to coordinate across departments and ensure alignment on goals
