Position Summary

Seeking dynamic, confident, and engaging Skilled Services Trainers specializing in suicide prevention to facilitate LivingWorks ASIST workshops. In this role, you will lead immersive, two-day sessions (often scheduled on weekends) that equip participants with practical, life-saving skills to recognize risk and act as effective Suicide First-Aid Helpers in their workplaces and communities.

QuaLifications

Education and Experience

- Mandatory Certification: Active LivingWorks ASIST Trainer Certification in good standing.
- Demonstrated experience in adult education, workshop facilitation, or group instruction.
- Exceptional interpersonal and verbal communication skills with strong group management capabilities.
- Schedule Requirement: Ability and willingness to consistently teach two-day workshops on weekends.
- Background in community mental health, social services, education, or crisis support is highly valued.

Other Required Qualifications

- Facilitate full two-day LivingWorks ASIST interactive workshops on weekends according to standardized curriculum guidelines.
- Engage diverse audiences with confidence, empathy, and professional poise during sensitive subject matter discussions.
- Guide adult learners through suicide first-aid model frameworks, practice simulations, and practical skill-building exercises.
- Maintain active workshop logs, attendance tracking, and completion reporting in compliance with quality standards.
- Create a safe, structured, and collaborative learning environment for all participants.

Physical/Work Environment Essential Requirements: The successful incumbent must have the ability to report to the work location Salary & Terms

- Support Group: Pay Band I
- Start Rate: $41.48/hour
- Hours per week: Weekend delivery (Saturday & Sunday workshop formats)
