Project Manager 2 - Site C GPAC & Warranty

Hours of work: Full-time (37.5 hrs/wk) Flexible Work Role: Field

Annual salary: $ 131,100.00 - 165,800.00

Position Highlights The Site C Project is seeking a highly organized and team-oriented professional to lead the successful delivery and sign-off of Site C Generation Project Acceptance Checklists (GPACs); and manage the Site C Warranty process until the Site C project is closed. Reporting to the Site C Project Acceptance Manager, the Site C GPAC & Warranty Project Manager acts as the primary liaison between the Site C Project team, Stations Field Operations (SFO), & Integrated Planning (IP) on all things related to GPAC and Warranty.

This role plays a critical part in developing GPAC schedules and setting Warranty milestones; and then ensuring those timelines are met through effective inter-departmental collaboration.

What you'll do

GPAC Management

- Lead any updates to the Site C Project Acceptance Governance Plan, communicate out roles/responsibilities to other

business groups, and escalate issues early to the Site C Project Acceptance Manager for resolution
- Regularly maintain the Site C GPAC Schedule and provide updates monthly for presentation at the Site C Project

Accountability Meeting
- Provide direct supervision to the Site C GPAC Project Coordinator (currently vacant and posted for recruitment) who’s job

it is to ensure GPAC deliverables are progressing in between GPAC meetings and aligned with GPAC schedule milestone dates. This includes providing leadership in the updating/development of GPAC deliverable trackers, providing input on frequency of follow-up meetings, and requiring regular reporting




- Lead GPAC-FFS and GPAC-Completion meetings with all relevant business groups. Ensure meeting frequency increases

as milestone dates approach, and that meeting minutes/notes are distributed immediately following meetings
- Organize and conduct joint site walk-throughs of associated equipment prior to GPAC-FFS sign-off; including distribution

of key GPAC-FFS deliverables ahead of time (Master Deficiency List exports, scope drawings, commissioning reports, etc.

provided by others)

- Escalate any GPAC risks to Project Acceptance Manager early such that they don’t affect the GPAC schedule or in order

for GPAC schedule updates to be endorsed
- Lead the organization and migration of GPAC-related documentation from project sharepoints and J-Drives to their final

locations per input from other departments
- Build and maintain productive working relationships with Site C project, SFO, and Integrated Planning representatives

Warranty Management

- Update the Site C Warranty Management Plan and provide leadership to Site C Project in managing warranties to the plan

- Ensure all potential warranty claims are entered into the Master Deficiency List (MDL Portal) and that all warranty claims

are kept up-to-date on the MDL
- Lead the preparation of warranty claim letters by the Site C project and submission to OEM(s)

- Lead regular internal meetings for the Site C project to discuss warranty claim statuses with SFO and Integrated Planning

- Lead less regular external meetings between the Site C project, SFO, IP, and the OEM(s) to discuss warranty claim

statuses and next steps towards resolution
- Ensure warranty requirements are well understood and integrated into the maintenance and operations business plans

What you bring

- Diploma or degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Business, Project Management, Operations, or a related

discipline; or a red seal trades certification with a minimum of 10 years of field experience in an electrical utility
- PMP Certification will be considered a strong asset for this role

- 10 years experience in planning, scheduling, commissioning, operations, maintenance, construction, or project execution

environments is required
- Past experience with GPAC within the electrical utility industry is considered an asset





- Any post-secondary education in asset management or risk management is considered an asset

- Experience working within large infrastructure, utility, energy, or capital project environments is considered an asset

- Strong Microsoft Office Skills and experience is strongly preferred (especially excel)

- Strong written and verbal communication skills is required

- Proven ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders and priorities in a complex project environment

- Exceptional presentation, facilitation, and relationship-building skills is an asset

- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities

- This posting is for a Full Time Temporary position with an anticipated end date of Dec 31, 2027.

- Work location is the Site C Construction Office, FSJ however other HQ locations may be considered, subject to manager

discretion, space availability and business requirements. Details to be discussed in the recruitment process.
- Regular travel to Site C is required, including a minimum one-week site visit every eight weeks.

- Frequent interaction with project managers, construction managers/officers, engineers, SFO managers, asset managers

and commissioning teams is expected.
- Frequent facilitation of meetings, and complex work coordination sessions will be required.

- A condition of employment for this job is that you maintain the following requirements in good standing:

Driver's License Type = Class 5
