Project Manager Automotive Engine Manufacturing

Job Summary

Honda is seeking a Project Manager with strong experience in engine manufacturing equipment and production-line projects. The candidate will manage projects from initial equipment concepts and engineering through manufacturing, procurement, installation, commissioning, production trials and launch.

Key Responsibilities

- Understand engine manufacturing and production lines.
- Work with engine die-casting line equipment.
- Develop equipment specification documents for die-casting equipment.
- Work with engine die-casting machining-line equipment.
- Create equipment specification documentation for machining lines.
- Support engine assembly-line equipment and specifications.
- Create and interpret pneumatic and hydraulic drawings.
- Develop equipment concepts using SolidWorks.
- Take equipment designs from concept through manufacturing and installation.
- Perform basic engineering calculations for machine-component sizing.
- Analyze equipment problems and implement design improvements.
- Lead end-to-end project execution.
- Manage project schedules, budgets and resources.
- Identify and mitigate project risks.
- Communicate with stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.




- Coordinate with customer Production Engineering teams.
- Manage equipment suppliers and global vendors.
- Ensure timely equipment procurement, installation and production readiness.
- Lead/support FAT, SAT, commissioning and production trials.
- Provide launch and production-readiness support.
