Part-Time Coach

Sports with Jay & More | 2026–2027 School Year

Sports with Jay & More is looking for an EXPERIENCED, enthusiastic, energetic, and reliable coach to join our team for the 2026–2027 school year.

This is a part-time, fixed-term position running from September 2026 to June 2027, with opportunities to work at schools, daycares, community centres, and other program locations.

Our coaches lead fun, engaging, and age-appropriate sports and recreational programs designed to keep children active while developing teamwork, confidence, coordination, and social skills.

The ideal candidate is someone who loves working with children, is energetic and dependable, and can create a positive and engaging environment for every group.

Duties

- Lead and actively participate in sports, fitness, and recreational programs for children.
- Supervise children and ensure their safety and well-being throughout each program.
- Lead engaging activities such as relay races, cooperative games, team challenges, parachute activities, and other age-appropriate sports and recreational games.
- Adapt activities based on the age, ability, and needs of the children.
- Encourage teamwork, cooperation, confidence, and positive social interactions.
- Maintain a fun, energetic, inclusive, and respectful environment.
- Communicate professionally with children, parents, school/daycare staff, and Sports with Jay & More team members.
- Arrive on time and be prepared for each scheduled program.
- Travel between different program locations as required.
- Follow all company policies, safety procedures, and program expectations.

Experience & Qualifications
- Previous experience working with children in sports, recreation, education, childcare, camps, or similar settings is preferred.




- Experience in sports coaching, Early Childhood Education, teaching, tutoring, or recreation is an asset.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable access to a vehicle are required.
- Ability and willingness to travel between program locations.
- Robust communication and interpersonal skills.
- Comfortable working with children of various ages and abilities.
- Energetic, positive, responsible, and dependable.
- Ability to work independently while also being part of a team.
- First Aid/CPR certification is an asset.
- Police Vulnerable Sector Check is required or must be obtained if hired.
