We are currently seeking qualified candidates for a full-time, on-site Accountant in Public Practice position at our offices in Edmonton and Sherwood Park, AB. Below are the details for the job posting:

Job Title: Accountant in Public Practice

Location: In office (Edmonton and Sherwood Park, AB)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $26 – $32 per hour

As an Accountant/Reviewer, you will work closely with the Principal Accountant and team members to deliver high-quality tax and accounting services. Key responsibilities include:

- Reviewing bookkeeping and preparing financial information and statements.
- Preparing corporate and preparing/reviewing individual tax returns.
- Preparing monthly payroll and PD7A.
- Preparing and filing GST returns.
- Handling CRA audits, GST reviews, and other tax inquiries.
- Proactively identifying tax planning opportunities for clients.
- Collaborating with clients and team members to achieve organizational goals and maintain strong client relationships.

Qualifications:




- Commerce graduate (Canadian or international degree).
- 3+ years of experience in public practice with solid tax and accounting expertise.
- Strong knowledge of Canadian Accounting Standards and Tax Compliance.
- Proficiency with QuickBooks, QBO, TaxPrep/Profile, Sage, MS Word, and Excel.
- Excellent communication skills and commitment to exceptional client service.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a team environment.
