Quality Assurance Analyst

Job Summary

We are seeking a Quality Assurance Analyst to support a digital transformation initiative involving the modernization and migration of legacy applications and business processes to cloud-based platforms. The QA Analyst will be responsible for manual and automated testing across QA and UAT environments, ensuring applications meet business requirements, quality standards, and technical specifications.

The successful candidate will work closely with developers, business stakeholders, and project teams to create and execute effective test strategies throughout the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and maintain test plans, test cases, and automated test scripts using Azure DevOps.
- Execute manual and automated tests and accurately document results.
- Perform UI, API, database, integration, regression, and UAT testing.
- Develop and maintain automated testing scripts using Playwright, Selenium, and Robot Framework.
- Identify, document, track, and validate resolution of software defects.
- Conduct root cause analysis and support defect resolution as required.
- Validate application functionality against business requirements and technical specifications.
- Assess cross-system impacts of new and modified functionality.
- Support testing of cloud-based business applications and integrations.
- Perform security, role-based access, workflow, ETL, and reporting-related testing.
- Manage and monitor testing environments and support appropriate code promotion through development stages.




- Collaborate with developers and business stakeholders to gather requirements and clarify acceptance criteria.
- Prepare testing metrics and reports, including burn-down charts, as required.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute throughout the SDLC.

Required Qualifications & Skills

- Diploma or degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in a Quality Assurance or Software Testing role.
- Solid experience with Playwright and JavaScript.
- Hands-on experience with Robot Framework and Selenium.
- Experience with API testing, database testing, and SQL.
- Strong manual UI testing experience.
- Experience working with Azure DevOps across the SDLC.
- Experience testing cloud-based Microsoft Dynamics 365 applications is preferred.
- Knowledge of ETL, security and role-based testing, reporting, and workflow testing.
- Experience with Postman and ReadyAPI/SoapUI.
- Understanding of web, client-server, and database technologies within a Microsoft-based environment.
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and SDLC principles.
- Ability to interpret technical designs and solutions.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively while adapting to changing priorities.

Nice to Have

- Canadian Software Testing Board (CSTB) certification or equivalent.
- Experience with Microsoft Power Platform and digital transformation projects.
- Experience with enterprise application modernization or legacy system migration.
