Quality Assurance / Food Safety Manager Position .

Barry Group Inc. is seeking a Quality Assurance/ Food Safety Manager for Shrimp processing facility located in Cox's Cove, Nfld.

The successful applicant will be responsible for and involved in:

· Ensure the sustainability of Food Safety system

· Validation of the sanitation and hygiene program

· Create/ revise Preventive Control Program (PCP) as necessary according to CFIA.

· Ensuring Regulatory and Customer audits corrective activities are completed on schedule

· Resolve any quality issues that arise on a day to day basis in production.

· Ensure compliance with Federal and International food regulations.

· Address any regulatory non- conformance in a timely and professional manner

· Work closely with production personnel and plant management

Experience:

In Food Quality Assurance and Safety or related industry,

Manufacturing experience in food plant an asset.





Lead and participated in regulator or customer audit an asset

Understanding of Food Safety plans, HACCP an asset

Good interpersonal and leadership skills

Competency in using Microsoft Office tools such as Word and Excel.

Education

Post-Secondary in Food Safety or Food technology or equivalent preferred
