Become part of Nova Scotia Health as a Recreation Therapy Associate on the Mobility Team. This role focuses on supporting mobility initiatives for clients and families in various settings, including inpatient and outpatient care.
The Recreation Therapy
Associate works under the Health Services Manager and the Western Zone Frailty Coordinator. You will assist in implementing recreation programs tailored to client needs, working collaboratively with healthcare professionals.
Your responsibilities include evaluating client progress and adapting interventions based on individual or group requirements. Key Responsibilities:
- Support early mobilization programs for clients in various settings
- Develop and evaluate personalized recreation therapy interventions
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to achieve client goals
- Maintain effective communication with clients and families
- Uphold practice standards and documentation requirements Requirements:
- Post-secondary diploma in Therapeutic Recreation
- BLS - C certification
- Experience with physical/cognitive disabilities
- Solid team collaboration and communication skills
