Reporting to the Nurse Manager or designate, the Renal Dialysis Technician works as a member of a multi-disciplinary health care team to set up, operate, monitor and adjust equipment during dialysis under the direction of nursing and/or medical staff. Performs a variety of related functions such as demonstrating renal dialysis equipment and procedures and cleaning and sterilizing renal dialysis equipment.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education, Training And Experience
Grade 12, plus two years recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Skills And Abilities
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to deal with others effectively.
- Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position.
- Ability to organize work.
- Ability to operate related equipment.
