Birdzy makes wild bird seed products and sells bird feeders, gifts and nature-inspired products. We’re looking for a reliable, friendly person to help with production, retail and local markets.

This is a hands-on, varied role. You could be making and packing seed cylinders, helping a customer choose a bird feeder, adding products to Shopify or setting up our booth at a weekend market.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

- Make and package seed cylinders, bagged bird seed, seed gifts and other Birdzy products, following recipes, batch instructions and production checklists for quality and accuracy.
- Operate shrink-wrapping equipment, label products, pick and pack orders, prepare shipping labels and arrange courier pickups.
- Follow safe equipment and product-handling procedures, clean shelves, tools, floors and equipment, and keep all work areas clean and organized.
- Open and close the store and warehouse, count the cash float and balance the till.
- Receive and check deliveries, track inventory, flag replenishment needs, price products, restock shelves and create displays.
- Help customers in person, by phone and by email; recommend products, process sales, returns and exchanges, and resolve concerns.
- Add and update products, photos, descriptions and prices on Shopify.
- Sell at local markets, including loading, unloading,



and setting up and taking down tents and displays.
- Take part in social media photos and videos featuring our products, store and daily work.
- Assist with local deliveries and other daily tasks, and operate a forklift once trained and authorized. Training and certification can be provided.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

- Someone dependable, organized and comfortable switching between tasks.
- A friendly manner and confidence talking with customers.
- Valuable attention to detail when making products, packing orders and entering product information.
- Comfortable using computers and learning retail and website systems.
- Able to work independently and as part of a small team.
- Comfortable with repetitive production tasks, standing for extended periods and physical work such as setting up market equipment.
- Able to safely lift and carry bags of bird seed weighing up to 50 lb (23 kg).
- Available for weekday and weekend shifts, including early starts for local markets.

An interest in birds and nature is welcome, but you don’t need to be a bird expert. Pay: $19.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35.0 – 41.0 per week
