RF Filter Design / BAW development Co-Op (January- December 2027)
Skyworks Solutions is seeking a talented intern to develop new high-frequency BAW filter modules.
The selected individual will join the BAW design team, focusing on the design, development, and delivery of next-generation BAW filter designs for Skyworks’ WiFi, Automotive, Infrastructure, and IoT customers.
The successful candidate will utilize simulations, feasibility & topology studies, and technology assessments to deliver compelling products and help drive advanced technology development.
We are seeking a student to work onsite in our Ottawa design center for a 12-month term starting January - December 2027.
Responsibilities
Work activities include: mason level circuit feasibility simulations, topology studies, evaluation of stack parameters, and their trade-offs
Taking measurements of finished products to validate performance
Compiling complicated results and sharing with the team in a clean, concise, well-organized format or design review
Tape out new filter design
EM simulations as necessary
Required Experience and Skills
University student, currently enrolled in an MSEE/PhD Program in the field of RF & Microwaves and/or acoustics (BAW preferred, but will consider other similar acoustic fields)
Must be able and available to work starting January 2027
Periodic online meetings with our international team may be required
Desired Experience and Skills
Strong understanding of RF and Microwaves
Strong understanding of S-Parameters
Strong understanding of acoustic resonators physics is a plus
Understanding of ladder filter topology and design techniques The typical pay range for an intern is currently CAD $25.00 - $44.00 per hour. Starting base pay will depend on level of education and the ultimate job duties and requirements.
