Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and innovative Junior Robotics & Automation Specialist to lead the design, development, and implementation of cutting-edge automation solutions within our manufacturing setting. This role offers an exciting opportunity to apply your mechanical engineering expertise and technical skills to optimize production processes, enhance efficiency, and drive continuous improvement. As a key contributor, you will collaborate across teams to develop automated systems that meet operational goals while ensuring safety and quality standards are maintained.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and troubleshoot robotic systems and automated machinery to improve manufacturing workflows.
- Create detailed schematics, CAD models, and technical drawings using AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or Creo to support system development and modifications.
- Program and commission programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for automation control systems, ensuring seamless integration with industrial equipment.
- Develop CNC programs for machining operations, supporting precision manufacturing of components.
- Collaborate with mechanical engineers and production teams to optimize mechanical designs for automation projects, incorporating mechanical knowledge and welding expertise.
- Conduct system testing, debugging, and validation to ensure reliable operation of robotics and automated equipment.
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives by analyzing process data and implementing lean manufacturing principles to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
Requirements
- Proven experience in robotics automation, industrial equipment integration, or related fields within manufacturing environments.
- Strong proficiency in CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or Creo for designing schematics and mechanical components.
- Hands-on experience programming PLCs and CNC machines; familiarity with CNC programming languages is essential.
- Mechanical engineering background with solid understanding of mechanical systems, assembly processes, welding techniques, and industrial machinery.
- Knowledge of schematics interpretation, electrical wiring diagrams, and control systems integration.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex automation issues efficiently while maintaining safety standards.
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams focused on continuous improvement initiatives.
