Job Overview The Inn at the Quay Hotel located in New Westminster is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Room & Public Area Attendant. As a Room Attendant at Inn at the Quay, you are the guardian of our guests' first impression. This role requires a high level of physical fitness, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining a pristine environment in both guest rooms and public spaces.

You will ensure every corner of our hotel reflects our premium waterfront property standards. This is a union position.

Responsibilities

- Checks for and turns in all Lost and Found items; reports damage or losses to maintenance or housekeeping.
- Scrubbing toilets, showers, tubs, and sinks to a "like-new" shine.
- Stripping linens and remaking beds (requires repetitive lifting of heavy mattresses and tucking sheets).
- Dusting, polishing furniture, and cleaning mirrors/windows.
- Thoroughly vacuuming carpets and mopping hard surfaces.
- Empty all waste baskets and garbage cans and place garbage in outside storage bins.
- Maintaining the cleanliness of the lobby, elevators, and public restrooms.
- Ensuring hallways are free of debris and vacuumed daily.
- Refreshing high-touch surfaces (door handles, buttons) frequently.

Ability to perform repetitive tasks with a positive attitude and high energy.
- Detail-Oriented: An "eagle eye" for dust, hair, or smudges.
- Professionalism: A friendly, discreet presence when encountering guests in hallways or rooms.
- Valuable communication skills and is able to communicate professionally with guests, colleagues, and leaders.
- Previous hotel/housekeeping experience is an asset but not required.
- Able to work and be available days, weekends, holidays.

Pay: $26.01 per hour
