Outreach Supervisor (Full Time)

Start Date: Immediately

Salary: $48,786-$60,982/year

What qualifications are we looking for?

At YMCA Calgary we strive to ensure our employees are a fit based on their strengths, interests, and future goals. The successful candidate will have the following;

- Experience in strength-based engagement with high school youth and young adults (ages 14-25)
- Knowledge and experience in Physical Literacy, Sports and Day Camps will be considered an asset.
- Recognized degree or certification in Counselling, Social Work or other related field would be considered an asset
- Demonstrated community-building skills




- Embrace innovation and be willing to take initiative
- Skilled at working independently and within a team environment
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to multi-task
- Computer skills including Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, and Outlook

· Current Standard First Aid with CPR-C certificated within the last 12 months from an approved AB OHS provider. · · Asset if certification is issued by one of the following five Canadian organizations: Canadian Red Cross, Heart and Stroke Foundation, Lifesaving Society, St John's Ambulance and/or Canadian Ski Patrol.
- Evidence of a clear Police Information Check and Vulnerable Sector Search
- Three professional references

What does this role look like at YMCA Calgary?

Responsibilities include:

- Availability within evening and occasional weekend hours (Monday to Friday 11am – 7:30pm; depending on location and need)
- Proactively engage with youth and young adults age 14-25 and solicit feedback and support from them to develop engagement opportunities.
- Design, implement, and run programming opportunities with branches and externally.
- Support branch events, preparation, meetings and various other positional ecpectations.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of participants at all times while in program.
- Maintain positive relationships with relevant stakeholders in the communities, including local schools
- Program planning and delivery of YMCA Calgary engagement programs
- Manage a budget for supplies and communication
- Collaboratively plan and organize with high school youth and young adults to develop initiatives & programming opportunities




- Complete administrative duties including program statistics, data entry, impact stories and month end/annual reporting
- Support with other branch or association duties as required, including a scheduled weekly Duty Manager shift
