About Us

Borderline Outdoor is an outdoor gear store for campers, skiers and snowboarders. We carry brands like Naturehike, Mobi Garden and Fjällräven, and we care more about finding customers the right gear than about ringing up transactions.

About the Role

This is not a cashier job. We're looking for someone who likes talking to people and knows how to sell. You'll approach customers, start conversations, find out what they're planning (a first camping trip, a new board for the season, a gift), and match them with the right gear. If you'd rather wait behind the counter for people to come to you, this role isn't a fit.

What You'll Do

- Greet customers and start conversations on the floor
- Ask questions to understand their needs and recommend the right products
- Share your own camping and ski/snowboard experience to help customers decide
- Suggest complementary items that make their trip better
- Help keep the store organized and merchandised
- During quieter hours,



appear in short marketing videos for our social media, such as quick gear tips, product explainers and event announcements

What We're Looking For

- Outgoing, confident and comfortable approaching strangers
- Proven ability to sell (retail sales experience is a robust asset)
- Hands-on camping experience
- Skiing and/or snowboarding experience
- Fluent English
- French is a bonus
- Comfortable on camera, or willing to learn
