Sales Specialist – Traffic Control Services

Traffic Pro Services (TPS)

Location: Lower Mainland, British Columbia

Travel: Occasional travel to Vancouver Island

Work Arrangement: On-site, Monday–Friday

As we continue to grow, we are looking for an energetic and results-driven Sales Specialist to join our team and help expand our presence within the traffic control and construction industries.

Position Summary The Sales Specialist will play a key role in driving business development, generating new sales opportunities, and strengthening relationships with existing customers. This position is ideal for a motivated sales professional who enjoys building relationships, identifying business opportunities, and working in a fast-paced, industry-focused environment.

You will be responsible for developing new client accounts, managing existing customer relationships, presenting traffic control solutions, preparing and negotiating proposals, and supporting marketing initiatives that increase TPS's visibility throughout the construction and infrastructure sectors.

The successful candidate will be a strong communicator, organized, proactive, and comfortable working independently while collaborating with internal teams.

Key Responsibilities

- Identify, prospect, and pursue new B2B sales opportunities within the traffic control, construction, civil, infrastructure, utility, and related industries.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with contractors, construction companies, project managers, municipalities, and industry partners.
- Conduct outside sales activities, including client meetings, networking, site visits, and industry events.
- Present customized traffic control and traffic management solutions based on client and project requirements.




- Prepare proposals, quotes, and sales presentations and negotiate contracts to support business growth.
- Manage existing customer accounts and maintain strong relationships to encourage customer satisfaction, retention, and repeat business.
- Research market trends, competitors, and potential customer segments to identify opportunities for growth.
- Develop and support strategic sales and marketing initiatives to increase brand awareness and market presence.
- Maintain accurate records of leads, opportunities, client communications, and sales activities using QuickBooks or a similar CRM platform.
- Collaborate with operations and internal teams to ensure client requirements are clearly communicated and successfully delivered.
- Provide professional customer service and follow up with clients throughout the sales process.
- Represent Traffic Pro Services professionally and contribute to the company's reputation for safety, reliability, and quality service.
- Travel to Vancouver Island occasionally as required for client meetings and business development.

Qualifications & Requirements

- Proven experience in outside sales, B2B sales, business development, technical sales, or account management.
- Experience in the construction, traffic control, civil infrastructure, transportation, utilities, or related industries is considered an asset.
- Strong communication, presentation, relationship-building, and negotiation skills.
- Demonstrated ability to identify sales opportunities and develop new business.
- Confident and qualified approach to prospecting, networking, and closing sales.
- Strong account management and customer service skills.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple leads, accounts, and priorities.
- Experience with QuickBooks,



CRM software, or similar sales management platforms.
- Strong computer and administrative skills.
- Ability to analyze market information, sales activity, and customer needs.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently while contributing effectively as part of a team.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation are an asset.
- Willingness to travel occasionally to Vancouver Island.

Work Workplace This is an in office office and sales position based in the Lower Mainland. This role is not eligible for remote or work-from-home arrangements.

The successful candidate will work from our office while also participating in client meetings, networking opportunities, site visits, and other business development activities as required.

Pay: $26.00-$32.00 per hour
